Join us on Tuesday, March 3, at 7:00 pm, for an evening of reflection and art where we'll how what we give our attention to shapes who we are, and how slowing down to notice art and beauty can change us.
Bring your own project or dive into one of ours:
* Annoted Art: You start with a picture (one you find, photograph, or draw). Then you look at it closely and draw lines to small details that catch your eye. Next to each line, you write a short note about what you notice, wonder about, or find meaningful.
*Finder Art: Use your Finder, a piece of paper with a square cut out, to frame and focus in on a detail. Draw or paint what you see, repeating the process and noticing patterns in what captures your attention.
*Savor Collage: Pick a single word or idea – something like shadows, circles, benches, rust, or a color. Collect images of that idea, noticing their details, both the similarities and differences between them. Then arrange your collection into a collage that highlights what you’ve discovered.
Creativity Matters is a drop-in small group for teens and adults to slow down, connect, and explore monthly spiritual themes together through art and imagination. Each gathering provides an opportunity for sharing, creating, and simply being together. No experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity and a playful spirit.
